In the North corner of the Haunted Botanical Gardens grows the Deadly Poison Garden — a tangled place of venomous blooms, toxic roots, dangerous little spirits & forbidden curiosities.

Twisting vines crawl across ancient iron gates while poisonous flowers bloom beneath shadowed lanterns and crumbling apothecary shelves.

Many who wander here become captivated by the beauty long before they notice the danger.

At night, strange colors drift softly through the poison fog like fragments of living enchantment.

Some petals vanish before they touch the ground.

Others bloom only beneath specific moons.

The Deadly Poison Garden represents more than poisonous plants alone.

It is deeply rooted in the garden keeper’s fascination with pharmaceuticals, old remedies, medicinal folklore, toxicology & forgotten apothecaries — a strange balance between healing and harm, cure and curse.

Here, bottles labeled in fading ink line dusty shelves beside ancient mortars and handwritten field notes gathered from the gardens over countless seasons.

Some plants soothe.

Some destroy.

Some simply wait.

And some are believed to preserve strange little phenomena impossible to recreate beyond the garden walls.

Among the tangled pathways, curious cryptids and venom-touched familiars roam beneath the vines while ghostly moths drift through the poisonous blooms.

Belladonna.
Foxglove.
Nightshade.
Mandrake.
Wolfsbane.

The garden remembers them all.

During violent summer thunderstorms, certain blossoms are said to briefly enter a phantasmagoria state — wilting, blackening & vanishing entirely before blooming again moments later beneath flashes of lightning.
