Another observation has arrived from beyond the Gardens. Grimlette has been collecting again. A sea urchin was reportedly discovered along the beach and immediately investigated. Whether it was considered a treasure, a curiosity, or simply something worth sitting beside has not been determined. This alone would not have warranted an amendment to her traveling record. The rock did. While gathering moss, Grimlette appears to have discovered a small stone and placed it carefully inside her empty eye socket. No explanation was provided. It remained there. Her current location has not been entered into the public record, though photographic evidence suggests she remains in good condition. She has also begun collecting things. Small pieces of discarded metal have been discovered arranged beside her with considerable care. Their purpose remains unknown. Supplies, perhaps. Treasure is equally possible. Inklace Some claim Inklace is nothing more than a story the lanterns tell each other. A tiny creature said to appear only after someone has followed them far enough. Far enough from the paths. Far enough from the maps. Far enough that the Conservatory begins revealing secrets it was never meant to share. Few descriptions of Inklace agree. Some speak of silver freckles. Others describe plum-colored markings hidden among the shadows. Many insist her eyes seem far too large, as though she is studying something just beyond sight. Scattered throughout the Haunted Botanical Gardens, fragments of observation continue to gather beneath the lantern glow. These field notes serve as an ongoing archive of creature sightings, botanical phenomena, wandering curiosities & strange little discoveries documented carefully by the garden keeper across countless seasons. Some entries were written quickly in the middle of thunderstorms. Others were gathered quietly beneath sleeping willow branches long after midnight.
